MINI is for all ages!

Just wanted to share something I saw today.

While walking out of a store, a very nice looking Chili Red/White MC with sexy 17" wheels drives into the parking lot and pulls into a handicap spot (it did have a handicap tag). The door opens, and a very tiny and feeble looking old lady got out and walked to the store entrance. This lady had to be well into her 80s...could have been anyone's great-grandmother.

Seeing her get out of that car absolutely made my day. This little lady is the type that you would most certainly expect to see getting out of a Buick or a Ford Crown Victoria in most cases...but a MINI Cooper? Now that's unusual!

I was tempted to go talk to her, but she looked like she was embarking on a serious shopping mission....and I didn't want to scare her. I can only imagine that she is alot of fun to talk to and has led an interesting life.

I hope that when I'm her age, I will live it up and drive a fun car like she does! I bet all of her friends down at the bingo hall are jealous!

That is so cool!

My mom is turning 70, and although she needs a walker to get around, she LOVES it when I show up in my MINI to take her out. (Taking her out can be difficult. . . she also has 2 art classes, 3 clubs and a writing group she runs. I don't know when the woman is EVER home!)

My dad is 79, and loves motoring with me when I visit him! He really enjoys the MINI and every time I pull into his carport, he hears me arrive. He opens his door and when I get out of Wanda he says, "Your car sure looks great!"

I see this older man (late 70's i'm guessing) in a Liquid yellow with yellow and white checkered roof. He always looks grumpy when I see him. He's most likely wondering why my MINI is SO loud. lol

My mom is 97 and needs a walker to get around. I always had to lift her up to get in my truck but now it's easy for her to get in and out. After her first ride in the MINI she said "Why didn't you get one of these before?" Now every time I go to see her she gets this big smile and says "Let's motor". She says that the other people in assisted living are jealous :-)

Our neighbors are 79 & 85 and they have been seriously considering a MINI since we moved to the neighborhood or maybe even a clubman so they have "more room" Its great!
