I live in SE PA and I wave at most any chance I get. Even about 5 days ago, I had my entire arm out of the window into 25 degree air at 60mph to wave at someone in a grey S.

 

Waving among MINIs is such a nice thing when it does happen.

 

I sympathize...I live in WV and, even though I wave like a crazy person every time I pass another Mini, only one has ever waved back.

But it is very exciting when it does happen.

 

Thats crazy to hear that, most MINIs i see here in Rockford, IL their owners wave back but everything changes whenever i go to chicago

 

As someone suggested to me....Mini owners in WV (and other places that are hours away from a Mini dealership) are so shocked when they pass another Mini that they can't recover in time to wave.

 

I remeber my first wave, happened last summer, I had two in one day! I always wave back to people who wave at me...

I can only wave and see waves when I'm stopped at a red light. So I must apologize if I don't see you guys ok. I love seeing other Mini's on the road though.

 

People get wrap up in what they are doing and forget how much fun there Mini is bring them.

 

I know the feeling! So far, I have only counted 6 MINI's in the town I live in (military town...most of the guys here drive big trucks or muscle cars). I wave every chance I get, which isn't very often, and only 1 has waved back. I still try though!

 

Maybe if we just keep waving, the rest of Mini people are us will catch on and wave back....at least that's what I'm hoping (while I'm looking like a crazy person and waving like mad at total strangers...)

 

That's what I say! Oddly enough, today on my way home, a MINI passed me and flashed his lights at me, so I waved back. (I think he's the same 1 who waved at me last week )

 

recently ive come across a lot of MINIs... usually i wave but get no response... come on SACRAMENTO!!

 

I get the same thing here in phoenix as well. I wave and most drivers look at me like I don't know you, why are you waving at me?
I did have a couple people wave back.
I do get a lot of looks at mine though. maybe they feel inferior because theres is (yawn) stock.

 

Good point! That's what I'm going to go with from now on...they feel inferior because their's is stock! Mine is the only 1 around here that I've seen that has anything done to it......

 

I am in SoCal and I don't get many waves which irritates me. Especially when they look right at me and don't wave. That happened just yesterday.
