BMW Forum?

Is there a forum on the web, equivalent to northamericanmotoring.com's forum, for BMW's? I love the site here, and am thinking about selling our truck for and getting a used 5 series BMW, but I'd like to find out if there is a similar community to the one we have here.

I especially love the marketplace here on NAM; the used MINI's for sale are usually priced better than the public market since we're selling to other enthusiasts. Is there a similar place on the web? A google search didn't turn up much that looked promising.

Thanks!

There was a forum for the e36 BMW's somewhere, can't recall where. Google may be your friend on this one...

Bimmerfest is a pretty good one.
I use E46fanatics for my 3-series issues (great site)-- not sure what's out there for 5-series specific

Which 5-series are you planning on getting?

I used to use BimmerForums whenever I had an E30/E36 issue to search for.

I have been looking for a BMW forum also. Does anybody know what designation number is used for a 2003 Z4 with a 3.0? I have looked for aftermarket parts for it and can't find anything .

There's a model number cheat sheet on the front page of BimmerFile, MotoringFile's BMW cousin.

Right now I'm looking at a 94 BMW 530i. I've always loved BMW's, since I was a kid, and while I'm not married to the 5 series they seem a perfect mix between the size of 7 series and the agility of a 3 series. I definitely don't need a 3 series (my MINI is perfect for agility) but am looking for a more comfortable cruiser than my truck, as I haven't hauled anything or needed to tow anything in over a year.

Keeping that in mind, I grew up with the 80s BMW's, and love classic BMW's too. So, that being said, if anybody knows of any great deals on running BMW's, any year, let me know!

BTW: Thanks so much for the links to the forums you guys mentioned. Looks like good stuff to read through.

That's actually one of the two BMWs I'd love to get in addition to my MINI (the other being a Z3/M Roadster). I love how the front retains most of the classic BMW look, while the back is more modern and streamlined. It's the best of both worlds! A very fine looking car indeed.

Too bad I really have no need for a second, more practical (and much older) car than my R56. Ah, well.

For general info, especially on what changed for each different year, I've found Wikipedia's BMW pages to be a pretty good overview as well.

The E46fanatics forum is for BMW 3 series model year 1999-2006. I use Bimmerforums.
