Mod the '50 or save for a '53?

Currently, I've been eyeballing some S's online. To get the payments down on a newer "S", I need a few grand in the bank. I'm looking to pay no more than 325/month. Currently, I pay 275. But, I've also been toying with idea of lowering my R50. I'm currently paying off that. Do I save my cash for a future "S" (say, within a year after some more payments and savings) or do I go ahead and drop (ride height, that is) the current ride? I'm not worried about getting my stuff on the car off. It's all cosmetic minus the sway bar and DDM. I'm really torn about this. One way or another I should save my money and if that happens, there's gonna be an R53 in the driveway sooner or later. Here's she is now, if anyone wants to see.

If all you're worried about is handling, then the 50 is a decent car to mod. If you want to bump the hp... then you should start with a 53. You'll spend way too much to just get a 50 to a 53 baseline.

I know if I start to save my money and pay off a credit card (or 2), I'll really look for a 53. I came up with a good idea. I'll do 1 more mod to my 50, buy my 16" RPF1's and mount them a while. This way, they can stay with me and go on an "S" whenever it ends up in my driveway.

No offense but with that statement alone you should not be modding or trading anything...

Yeah, it happens. When you make $10/hr, you have to have other ways of obtaining mods/toys. Believe me, I plan all of my purchases ahead of time and see whether or not the budget allows with room to spare. I'm not gonna go out and blow cash I don't have the ability to pay back.

^I know, you're gonna say save your money. But, its kinda hard for me. Thats part of the reason I want to pay off a card. Less money going out means more money to stay in. But, I think I've made up my mind. I think it's a sound plan and should work once the ball starts rolling. I'm gonna kill off at least 1 card if not both then concentrate on making early payments to bring down my whats left of my loan. Maybe by the end of summer, I'll be back in the market for an "S".

That sounds like a great idea. You will love the S. The supercharger whine is addicting.
