My old man has a 70, 390 4 speed he's putting back together. Also, I think that article was what if AMC was going to build cars. They're not coming back.

 

I too had to look at the date to make sure it wasn't April 1.....

On that note, my poor parents had a Pinto, AND a Pacer. Ug, what a dog the Pacer was. My dad hated them both--he just wanted something with a V8.

 

I'll have to check what month the issue was, but I don't think they were kidding. They had at least a 4 page spread of concept drawings for AMC cars. And yes, one of them was the AMX along with the Pacer, Gremlin, and a couple others. The issue has the new Challenger on the cover.

I learned to drive in an AMC (Hornet). Yeah what the car industry needs again are vacuum-powered windshield wipers! This has to be some kind of joke.
