First romp in the snow

Poor taxis and BMWs slipping on the smallest of inclines. My mini is enjoying it's first real snow in the city. The stock 15" all seasons and front wheel drive work surprisingly well in the snow.

Snow Fun!

Glad you're enjoying the MINI snow experience. I've got the 15 inch wheels and All Seasons on my Cooper, and the snow performance is amazing! Fun to see SUV's and other makes struggling to maintain control. MINI's tear the snow up! Motor on.

Ugh - my 30 minute drive took me a little over 2 hours today. I had such a bad migraine that I was ready to puke by the time I got home. My legs hurt so bad... I love Lewis, but today I would have loved an auto. 2 miles in 1 hour.
Other than the bad traffic experiences, Lewis is pretty good in the snow with his 16" S-Winders and Michelin Pilot PA2 snows. We had a couple good talks on the way home about which direction we really wanted to go and which part of the car should head down the road first, but in the end made it just fine.

Got snow here too. That said despite having Nokian WR's on the thing I still wasnt getting great traction, probably has to to with the whole being 225/45/17 thing. Oh. well they work great in the rain and slush.

Yesterday 3 hours because of the falling snow, today 3 hours because of the flooding from the melting snow. Oh the humanity.

With my stock 16" tires, the Mini was fantastic in the lanes others dared not travel in. It's not AWD, but the DSC light came on every now and then to show me that things were under control. I wasn't driving fast, but I was making it home.
