I miss my MINI!

I had to take Boris to the dealer today (rock chip through the clear bra, front plate needs mounted, cold start issues, white paint overspray on the boot) and they gave me an E90 BMW 328i loaner.
It's a nice car and all, but I have to admit it made me kind of bored. Maybe it's the automatic transmission (which I had to relearn to drive), but it's nowhere near as much fun as my R56. It doesn't even really feel as much fun as my old E36 318is did.
The stereo/onboard computer display is the same as the one in the R56, and that makes me miss the MINI even more. I look down at it, and it looks familiar, but then I start to wonder why everything in the car is black.

Just consider yourself lucky to be granted a loaner... my dealership laughed at me when I mentioned loaner.

I even got assurance that they'd give me a loaner if I'd bought from another dealer (I was pondering a road trip for a better deal when I ordered mine.)

I'm warming up to the BMW now that I found out how to turn on Sport mode and hook up the iPod interface. I probably wouldn't turn it down if I were to win one on the Price Is Right.

I had to relearn when you're in "D", don't take your foot off the brake at a stoplight.

Yeah, I'm taking our R56 in for the first service Monday and Baron BMW/MINI has a loaner program. I'm excited about driving a BMW; never even been in one before.
