Proper MINI Driving Shoes
Ditto that on the Puma's. I once was walking up an escalator, got the hem of my pants caught, got pulled through the little crack thingy at the end that looks kind of like the edge of a set of hair clippers, and went around three times before it was stopped. That was more comfortable than my Puma's.....
Clubman shoes?? Link??
I'm liking those piloti's. I have been in search of a pair of shoes in which I can drive in, because I have now driven barefoot for as long as I've had my Mini. My feet (when in shoes) seem to constantly get caught on the pedals and I don't like the lack of sensitivity compared to bare feet.

I bought a pair of Piloti's and wore them day in and day out for a few months before I FUBAR'd them. They are stiff but I managed. It didn't bug me anymore than wearing a stiff dress shoe or a harder leather shoe. That, and they look badass.

Howdya fubar em?
Yeah, there are a ton of people who have them and love 'em--that's why I tried them. I'm not knocking the shoe; it's very popular--it just didnt' work for me. Unfortunately, my feet are just too wide for them (people with wide feet beware of Puma!!); I tried them on before purchasing, but it wasn't until I had them on for awhile at an HPDE that I began having problems. Wished they worked for me, my foot just isn't built for them though.
I am wearing the Adidas Goodyear shoe, I like it a lot. Could be a tighter fit, but other than that, the slip on is nice. Now to get a pair of slip on converse so I don't have to wear these things every day.
My original Piloti Monaco's were great. Then I received a replacement pair for X-mas and the leather tore after wearing them for 2 days. I think they switched from made in Italy to made in China and it shows. . . .
I've got a pair of those Addidas too, I like them a lot driving, but they were tough to wear walking all day.

Well, I shouldn't say FUBAR. I wore them to work one day and forgot we were waxing the floors that night. They ended up with a good coating of industrial grade floor wax all over them. They still function as a shoe, albeit looking like greyish/black (original shoe color) waxy crap. On a kind of related side story, these are hella hot:

The Piloti's have worked out great for driving. I know others swear by them as an everyday shoe, but they're not nearly as comfortable as my Ecco's, so I only wear them to drive. Part of the problem is size--I'm kind of in between a 10.5 and 11, but I hate a shoe that feels too big, so I went 10.5. They do stretch out a bit, and the fit is good, but just a little tight. The lateral side of the shoe sticks out just a smidgeon; these are fantastic for heal/toe--by far my favorite tie driving shoe I've tried.
I have a slip on pair of shoes I like too Rusty, but at the HPDE's I go to,the rules are for tie shoes--although I see alot of folks (including instructors) driving with slip-ons, so it looks like they're pretty lax on that..
I just couldn't get Puma's to work. Too narrow, hurt like hell by the end of the day. I can't heal/toe in them--my ankle is shot from basketball; I heal/toe by rolling the outside edge (Piloti's are great for this) rather than angling my foot (which I can't do physically easily or consistently).
