I think the article was saying that the extra B.S. that Cali. demands is not legal, or am I not reading it right?
It's a kickback from the fuel economy bill that was overturned yesterday.
Which, as far as I can tell, the overturning was unconstitutional. States have the right to create their own laws...at least that's what I was taught back in 9th grade.
Whatever, it'll go to the 9th circuit, who will overturn the overturning
also it was a while since i took US history, but i think i remember a part of the constitution that said when federal and state laws conflict, the federal one wins, but like i said, i don't remember if there are different circumstances etc
The governator is suing the fed over this, so don't expect this to last. By the way 13 states currently use the CARB standard. A Province of Cananda has also decided to follow the CARB standard as well.
