General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
If Mini offers a true black in 08 I might order one with a white top and then paint the top copper... like a duracell... copper top.. cooper top...
kinda like this "mobile mini."
How do you think that would look, good or garish?

I think it would look good if done right and complemented by a set of Gold/Bronze wheels. If the whole "cooper-top" theme doesn't work you could always get a large black firebird graphic added to the roof and do a Smokey and the Bandit theme.
I wouldn't want a "Red Bull" or "Miller Lite" looking Mini unless I was being compensated to help promote their company. However, if you're doing it just because you like the color combination, then go for it.

There already is a Red Bull MINI. I see it in Houston every so often. it has a large Red Bull can that is mounted to the rear hatch at an angle that points the top of the can toward the front of the car. The can itself is huge - maybe 3' in diameter and 6' tall. It's downright hideous.

There are lots of "Red Bull" MINIs - it's a standard conversion package the company does to MINIs they own and use for promotional purposes. I've seen them in Virginia, California, and Texas, among other states.

If I was going to have a can on my boot, it would more likely be Heineken or Hobgoblin than Red Bull!
