[quote=SpitfireMkI;1961056]I see the boot of a silk green MINI with what appears to be the aerokit sitting in a garage by my home.....sadly, I've never seen it move MINIs should never be hanger queens....
Did someone say hanger queen! I'm the king of hanger queen!
Get that jet out on the runway. You have clearance for takeoff !
Haven't heard that term Hanger Queen much since I retired from the USAF. We had a "few". Of course, trying to keep airframes in mission capable condition when they are 50 years old is no easy task.
No problem, I just save her for when my chores are done which is never. My house, one flip, two rentals, and of course my full time job and my truck loaded and is always on the go. Still have 1276 miles on my mini
This thread is awesome! Thanks for starting & contributing! I absolutely love my BRG, but I really wanted one in blue in '04. Not a good enough blue for me back then (sorry to those who object!) but I really do love the metallic colors. Gorgeous cars everybody! NOW I know which ones I'm going to buy after I win the lottery!
One of the rarest combos: Purple Haze with Silver roof. Only available on the early 2006 models. Our MA told us that our Cooper was the first PH/S in the country.
I thought Purple Haze was a Cooper-S colour only, obviously not though.
We might have gone for Velvet Red or Silk Green if they hadn't discontinued them before we got around to ordering. We did get Indi Blue, just before it was discontinued, we had to get Lightning Blue the next time around. We also got Purple Haze while it was around, I would have loved to get another Purple haze (but we went with Dark Silver instead).
