General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
when i first bought my 1st Mini i was lucky to see 4 a week! now i see 4 a day!!! is that a good thing or a bad thing? I use to love being the only one w. a Mini in my county... I guess we have to share this pleasure w. everbody!!!
At least 1 per day, sometimes as many as 6 or 7. Still stop to admire the Dark Silver JCW that sits outside the local Panera Bread when I am on my way to work.
1 or 2 very few days - but I'm thinking that a lot of Mini owners up here may keep their precious Minis in winter storage. Don't know that for sure though - I'll have to revisit this thread in the spring and see if I start seeing more of them...
In Charlotte I see about 10 a day. Here In the Dupont area(and surrounding neighborhoods) of Washington DC MINI's rule the road! Theres usually always a MINI or two in sight! Pure MINI bliss!
In Charlestown MA, where i work, theres 4 of them in the area and we try and park near eachother...other then that very rare...1 maybe two on the highway
When I first bought my mini I would see 2 to 3 every now and then park at work (usually when the weather is nice But now, I'm seeing about 3 consistently parked and used as a daily driver! Cool! since I use mine as a daily driver also
There are a ton of MINIs around the DC/VA, but hardly anyone waves anymore. A few years ago you only saw a few a week, but everyone waved.
Now I just get odd looks when I wave (I'm hoping it's not my hair cut).
I don't think it's your hair.
When out and about I'll see one or two during the week, more on weekends. We don't get many waves back. Yesterday we did see another red Mini like ours. It was surely a grandma driving and she waved. My 13 year old son was floored that a grandma type would drive a Mini. I keep telling him that there is no generation gap when it comes to enjoying this car.
Without leaving my block, I usually see 5-6, there's even one in my small parking garage. When I go out, I usually see tons. I've even been getting a lot of waves lately - when the driver isn't on the phone.

I think I tagged your MINI with a card from DCMM! It was a couple of months ago. I have only seen one Oxygen Blue in the Dupont area, so it must have been you.
