Mailing from MINI?

I was out of town last week, and came home to a week's worth of mail to sort through. In the middle of the pile was what appears to be part of a mailing from MINI. I'm assuming that the rest of the mailing got lost somewhere in the mail, and I just received the piece of cardboard with my name and address on it.

It's a piece of black cardboard that's about 7.5 inches square. The return address is "MINI Information Services, PO Box 6007, West Caldwell, NJ 07007". On the front is just the return address and my address; the back of it is blank. I called ASK MINI to see if this was part of my welcome kit and they said no. They had no clue what mailing I may have been sent.

So.... I guess I'm wondering if anyone else got a mailing recently from MINI that is about the same size as what I received. If so, what is it??

Sorry for the weird question, but this is one of those odd mysteries in life that drives me crazy! Thanks in advance to anyone who helps solve the mystery of the MINI mailing!!

I'm not sure what it could be either. I do know, however, that I received MINI's "Field Guide to Good Motoring" last week (or was it two weeks ago?). It came in an envelope with a card and the booklet.

Hello rasurra. I got the same black piece of cardboard with my mailing address on it. I called ASK MINI and they said they would send another welcome package. They were aware of mailing problems. This was in September, I believe. I got the replacement little black box in the mail yesterday, 11/2/07. The mailing problem was easy to see. Very thin like saran wrap around the box to attach mailing info to the box itself. The box I got had damage to it and the black cardboard was almost seperated from the mailing again. Poor packaging. I would call ASK MINI again. Your MA can't help in this case.

It is definitely part of the welcome package.

Thank you to all who responded. I'll definately call ASK MINI again, and hopefully they'll be able to figure something out.

I suspected it was the welcome package, but had no way to confirm it until you all helped me out. Thanks!

It was a mini 'adventure field kit' has mouse pad, yellow foam smiley face antenna ball, pen, a blank note book, a sticker set, 101 fundamentals of good motoring booklet, etc, etc..

Just when I thought the Adventurer Pack was a thing of the past...Guess what I got in the mail today? 6 months after picking up my 2013 MINI HT. It's no longer in that nifty solid cardboard box that was so handy for storing junk at my desk, but instead came in a pseudo-canvas black bag that I ruined trying to open. Apparently the shipping bag can be opened in such a way as to allow you to turn it inside out and reuse it. Too bad the directions and construction were lousy. Anyway, inside are all the old goodies I got with 4 of my previous 5 MINIs - the useless booklets of propaganda, a very cool black journal, a MINI rubberband (gumband for Pittsburghers), an antenna ball, mousepad, the awesome and irreplaceable metal pen and new to the package, a USB stick in the shape of a MINI. Some truly great stuff all for free. Methinks that those that do and don't get the Adventurer's Package all depends on the dealership. The one time I didn't get one was when I went to a dealership here in PA instead of sticking with my peeps in NJ.
