I, too, had thought the R56 looked "top heavy". However, a local Chicagoan (ToroBud) just posted pics of his newly arrived R56, and the addition of the factory rear foglights helped bring some balance to the rear end, IMO. Even at the awkward angle in this picture, the rear end doesn't look as high to me. When the time comes for me to get an R56, the rear fogs will be a must have just for this reason.

The rear fogs are a nice addition. Wish I'd of ordered them on mine. Do you know of an after market source?

I finally got a chance to park my R50 and R56 Coopers side by side....the ride height looks essentially the same from the back to me. There may be an optical illusion w/ the higher beltline, recontours of the bumper, and shiney suspension bits, but it's hard to overall see any height difference. Both of my cars have standard suspensions.
