2007 vs 2004 Seats?

Ok here's the question...

Are the seats in a 2007 different than the seats in a 2004?
The deal is that I dropped my 04 off for service and got an 07 as a loaner. I got into the 07 and was able to adjust the seat so it was practically sitting on the floor. In my 04 I can lower and raise the seat, but nowhere near as low.

My seats are leatherette.
The 07 seats are cloth.

My car has a sunroof.
The 07 doesn't. (illusion of more headroom?)

I thought I'd ask here and see what anyone thought, then I'll probably call tomorrow and see if the tech can take a look at mine.

The R56 seats are definitely different from the older ones. They also have more stuff -- weight sensors, side airbags...

I loved the seats in the 2004 Mc40. If I had gone with a chile red car, i would have hunted the salvage yards until I could have gotten those seats into my car.

I've noticed that too- the Sun Roof does take up some space inside !

The thing that I'm noticing is that the seat is low enough to not put too much pressure on the back of my legs. More comfortable for me for sure.
Sounds like there are some design changes between the years. Too bad. I really like the 04, but wish I had the 07 seats now!
I've never been a fan of the seats in my 04, but I have gotten used to them.

BTW, who the heck thought that the volume **** for the stereo should be where it is? I spent two minutes trying to figure out how to adjust the volume!

Yeah, the stereo controls in the R56 are a bit wacky if you don't have the NAV system. If you have the NAV, the stereo fills in the spot where that one lone **** is and it makes a little more sense.

Pretty sure the first-gen cars have those as well.
