Protect MCS Bonnet Stripes?

Maybe it's all in the wording...

Any suggestions how to repair and protect 4 year old racing stripes on my Mini S's hood/bonnet?

Peel them off, spend about $40 on a new set from cooperflags, install the new ones yourself.

It is easy and cheap to add new stripes.
