Yet another Drove the R56 thread.

Today I drove a 2007 MCS while getting service at the dealer. They have done a great job at keeping the overal feel of the R53 with the R56. Sure it was different but it is not a bad different. It is a quicker car but not so much so that your going to notice a huge difference. I am sure its a big difference over a Stock MCS but my 2003 with 15% and an intake did not feel that much slower. The most notible area where it feels slower is below 3500 RPM as the R56 pulls harder in that range for sure.

After driving one I like it but it is not something I have to go and trade up to that is for sure. The center console/dash is not my favorite at the moment but I am sure it will grow on me. It is almost like Mini is trying to set it furter apart from BMW as it really looks like a different line of car with the weird stereo controls and such. Not a fan, but I could live with it.

Oh, the clutch was WAY smoother than my 2003. The Mini notchy shifing was retained as well. I am sure I will buy one eventually...

Also... please know comments saying the R56 sucks or the R53 sucks, those are old.
