Wow, I thought I was the old guy on here at 67. God bless you and have a blast. I've got an '07 MCS and drive it more than I drive my BMW 335i. It is a blast, isn't it? You're never too old to enjoy cars if it's in your blood. Look at Carroll Shelby !
Just turned 50 last week. New MINI in the house. This car thing started because my dad was a weekend racer at nearby Lime Rock Park. I started with an MG Midget when I was 15, and restored two of them. I bought the last Triumph TR6 in New England at 18 (1976), restored it in 1996, sold it and started a '75 TR6 restoration in 2000 ... built her to Triumph factory S2 fast-road specs ... she's never seen rain or snow, not even a wet road. But the MINI makes me wonder why I didn't look at classic Coopers a long time ago and R53s a short time ago!
40. my first mini i have personally owned. but, they (and british cars) have always been in my blood. i was born in oxford, my dad used to race the classic mini's. my grandmother worked for morris garage (i used to own a 70 midget i had restored years ago. which was the closest in fun factor to the mini i have had yet). my grandfather worked for pressed steel - which was renamed is now the oxford plant.
