My initial indignation
Check out my gallery pics. I think I've accomplished cute AND masculine with my CR/B Cooper.
Nothing wrong with being cute, by the way. When I was younger, cute got me lots of... ummmmm.... attention from the ladies.
So your MINI should embrace being cute and enjoy the attention HE gets from the ladies. Even old ones.

Nah, cute and masculine is fine by me.
If I wanted a beautiful "kick-a**" automobile, I'd have purchased another Nissan 350Z or a big, gorgeous Bimmer.
Go with cute and masculine... it's a combo the ladies love.

You bought a cute car in a cute color -- what did you expect!
Next time, try a more sober color like black or dark silver and you'll only have to put up with the "hey, where do you put the batteries!" comments...

My car before the mini was this Mazdaspeed Protege:

LSD, turbo, and a real hoot to drive, especially as the dad of teenagers. At the bus stop one morning the guys all told me my car was "cool" and "tough".
Then I brought this home:

... and the only kids out were the neighborhood pre-teen girls, who all ooohed and aaaahed and told me my car was "cute". I said yes, but (in my best Pirate voice) "be careful, it'll bite off yer leg!"
The teen guys still think it's cool and tough, but the girls still think it's cute. I've had similar stories to the above in parking lots, and love it. It makes me drive more courteously too, since the car's friendly looking (and memorable - which cuts both ways). All fine with me!

I picked up the same bonnet stripes as you have; they really "pop" with the white pinstripe. Installation will be in my driveway this weekend.
In terms of color, I was going to write the deal on a Dark Silver that was in stock and my first choice. My wife did talk sense to me about the color since we have three vehicles in black.
Drive, wash, repeat. Drive, wash, repeat - ad-nauseum :impatient. No more dark colors, thanks. I love washing and detailing, but my time is limited and the fleet just had a baby
