That looks like a MG but I have no idea what model. I saw a few when I was in the UK for a Mini2 event a few years ago. I saw one here too, they look great in stock trim too.

Edit, I just looked back and the yellow and silver cars are made by SEAT. Some local Italians have some nice kits over here.

Hey thanks, is Seat a manufacturer or just a modder? They are pretty mean looking . Any clue what they have under the hood?

Seat, THATS it ! I knew it began with a S. There were a lot of hot hatches running around. the one I really liked was the red Mitsubichi . I have no idea what model it was.

2002 Evo Colt.

The official name was the Colt SR 4X. I don't think it ever made it to production.

It was developed by Ralliart Germany with AWD and the 4G63 Evo 6 engine it was basically an Evo 6 drive train in a Colt/Mirage.

Wicked fast - at the time it could smoke an Evo 6. The thing weighed like 2600 lbs and put down over 280 hp.

Seat is a Spanish manufacturer that is part of the Volkswagen Audi Group. They use alot of VW/Audi engines to good effect IIRC they've got an Ibiza Cupra (or GT) that is "around" MINI sized and has a 1.8T under the hood

Finally had a chance to process some more pics and these are of our trip out to the Goodwood circuit. What a beautiful place. They have a lot of vintage vehicles around for atmosphere and the grounds are immaculate. We were there during a track day event and there was quite a varied collection of cars. As you can tell from the pictures the do not mind a " moist " day. We were really lucky as this was the only one of two rainy days on the entire trip.

Looks like the sun will never shine again .

Thats what rain tires are for

As you would expect lots of vintage iron

And a some new stuff .

Ill put some more up in a day or so.

I finally realized that I have way too many Nurburgring shots and I am going to start a separate thread for those. I will move these to that thread and leave this one for the remainder of the trip photos.

Here are some shots of the Minimotorsport Center in the UK. Tony is our newest dealer our forth coming press release will detail will be working with us to combine both the UK and USA tuning concepts for a united approach to improving our cars . As Tony was the former chief engineer for the John Cooper Works company for over 20 years and is the current owner of the Mini Motorsport Center which also manages the now seven year old Mini Challenge Series in the UK I feel it is safe to say that his knowledge base with regard to the Mini is large indeed.

Love the transports.

This thing was so cool . It was a car that Mike made for JCW as an entrant in the UK gravity races which i beleive they held at Goodwood. This is the actual nose cone to a Cooper formula junior race car. After seeing the cars the guys are making in the states this just facinated me. The finally stopped the races when Mclaren started doing wind tunnel testing on thier car and had movable aero panels. There was supposed to be a budjet limit but all teams were going way over it .

Everything in this shop had a story. This was a spare hand formed nose piecereplica for the tragic Ferrari shark nose race car thatcrashed and killed so many spectators. Ferrari withdrew from racing and had all of the cars crushed and destroyed. Mike's partner built one from scratch based on recovered drawings and it came out so nice that Ferrari wanted to buy it for thier museam. The dealwas never completed but Ferrari is allowed to borrow it for special events.

I noticed the very distinctive shape of a Lotus 7 under a tarp and had to take a peek. Wasn't too sold on the color but did like he CF fender.

Cockpit was very buisness like !

And in this shop nothing is as it seems

This GP was up on the lift. For those of you that have not seen the underbody panels on the GP here they are .

Thats it for now , back to the 24hrs of Le Mans

I would like to take credit for them but as I mentioned at the beginning of the post our good friend in the UK Ian Kuah took many of the shots . The rolling ones are his and I just did the snap shots in the paddock area. Peter also has some great shots from the Nurburgring that he has not had time to process as yet.
