I received the plate, shipped the day after the dispute was closed with pay pal. It's still sitting on my front porch.
The total was refunded to my account and then this morning, he had the nerve to send me another invoice for the plate!! What a schmuck! So, I emailed him back that it's going back to the post office today since I finally got my money back (which he said I could do in a previous email)

Man oh Man...
In his email today he said:
We really appreciate your patience in this matter and hope we can do business again in the future.
As long as you didn't open the package, you can mark it "Return to Sender" and take it to the PO and pay $.90 for a "Certificate of Mailing" which comes with a tracking number that will show proof of shipment & proof of delivery.

I strongly recommend purchasing the "Certificate of Mailing" because the seller sounds like he would claim that you never returned the item (or he never received it) and he could legitimately file an appeal & have the refund reversed.

Good luck!

Agreed. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to follow up with paypal to head off any attempt by the vendor to have the credit reversed.

I already did that and returned the package today with that "certificate of mailing". I also sent pay pal a copy of his email that said I could refuse it and not be committed to it if I didn't want it.

Another update: This guy it way too much!

Another email this morning after I "refused" the plate to the post off ice yesterday. I sent him an email saying it was on it's way back. This is his response:

TYLER EDMONDSON wrote:

I emailed him a response:
> No thanks. It's already been "refused" and is on it's way back to you
> via UPSP per your email listed below.
> I suggest you work on customer service. You really missed the mark on
> me and a few of my friends who are having the same issues with your company.
> Hopefully the service gets better and in the future you won't have these
> problems.

And he returned my email:
Our service is fine, all emails replied to, you just caught us when we had 250 plus orders coming in per week. We tried to explain this but had no luck in replies from you.

Tyler

Does he really think I'm an idiot?? How is it possible that he can be so stupid? And it's way too fun to mess with him...I can't help it.

Vairrampside, did you get yours yet?
Astro, any luck??

No e-mail saying it was shipped. Only e-mail he sent was May 25, 2007, at 1:04 AM, Sales-Europeanplates wrote:
This order is slated to ship out next week, it has been sent to our stamping
area. Tracking will follow shortly via email.

Thanks,

Tyler

Don’t know what his shortly means? I’ll leave a post when ever it shows up.

Yes we where delayed on your order but it was shipped before paypal went in your favor, we simply offered for you to take the custom plate. We sent several emails about the delay, did you check your spam folder. I do see you have called us scam artist thiefs etc. which is 100% NOT TRUE and at this point pretty much slander, where we and are we delayed on orders yes for sure, we sell more plates then anyone online so yes we do get backed up. Was this explained YES. Is our site verified by paypal YES, is the site still working YES; it never has not worked. Do we take care of all issues YES. If there are any issues email us I will personally take care of it, email me directly at tyler@europeanplates.com we do have other employees so this will make sure I get the email.

Thanks your time and hopefully we have both told our sides of the story and can end the post here.

Douglas we are looking into your order, as you can see shipping label was paid for and printed some time ago.

It Finally Arrived

Today in the mail it finally arrived. Ordered May 10th and got it July 21. Wow! After many email with some unanswered. They figured out that the first one was lost in the mail. All I know is that I have a plate on the front of my MINI finally. All I can say is that they don’t have good customer relations. They are slow to reply to email or not at all. They don’t have a phone line to take calls either. The plate looks good after getting it. Don’t think I will be buying another plate from Europeanplates.com.

This thread does not add up.

First you mentioned ripped off, however all of you stated the items arrived. Second and more importantly you all stated you opened up a paypal dispute which is valid only up to 45day. Yet there website (www.europeanplates.com) stated 4-6 weeks for delivery so you had to file a complaint before the item was even due.

Now I agree Mattman was a great company www.mattman-enterprises.com

Now look who bought them. Learn how to read people.

Matt

Hey Matt...you are looking at a thread that is over 3-4 years old. Their website stated much different things back then. They guaranteed quick ship, etc etc. It's all in the past now, and we have all moved on. =)

Well despite negative thread, I ended up ordering from europeanplates.com, and was surprised to get my front (white) and rear (yellow) plates in less than a week. I also ordered a replacement for rear, lost it while motoring on Mulholland Drive.
