I've stopped waving and started peace-signing. I seem to get a much better response. I've probably had 7-10 waves/peace signs in return in the past week. Some are the same 2-3 MINIs I see around my little suburb. One is a guy I see 2-3 times a week on the same stretch of road driving to work. The rest are just at random.

There is a lady on my way to work every day, in a EB/W with custom plates. I wave to her pretty much every day. Every time, she ignores me. I don't care. She can be a brat if she wants, I'll still be nice and wave

While returning from the Dragon we spent a day in Nashville. While at the zoo, we saw a CR MC Cabrio and as we were leaving they were ahead of us and we both waved. Followed them through traffic for a little bit and while stopped at a light we tried to talk, but the light changed and we had to take off.

It was the only MINI we saw and they waved, so there is hope for Nashville.

On our 4 day trip around Oregon this past week, we saw a total of 17 MINIs and one mini...we waved at EVERY ONE...but no one waved back.

Could have it been because we were driving the RV?

The peace sign makes me giggle - it's such a chilled-out, cool way of saying "Hey what's up?" like a knowing nod to someone who totally is on your wavelength.

Did that make any sense to anyone?

The first time I did it (peace sign) was like on accident - sort of a two-finger wave. But I got a full-on peace sign back and it made me smile, so I just rolled with it and kept doing it
