Sightings on the Road

Driving home from work, I passed a race trailer. Couldn't see inside unfortunately, but across the back in big orange paint, "McLaren."

On the sides was a race history starting in 1970, and covering all the Can-Am events. I'm thinking M8A or B?

A few years ago, my son and I were driving in an industrial area in Brea when something caught my eye. We parked near a garage and gingerly walked around to see a McLaren Can-Am car in all its brutal glory. The crew was getting it ready for an event.

It turned out to be a car that George Follmer raced in vintage events. It wasn't stock in body or motor. I've got a picture of the car that I will post when I find it. Whenever I drive by there I look to see if those folks are back.
