very interesting. I think we'll be seeing a lot of experimental stuff over the next two years... and we certainly need it. did you see this?

Another interesting all electric (not hybrid) car is the tZero. Go to http://www.acpropulsion.com/ and follow the link for the yellow car on the left. The electrics were designed by the same guy GM contracted to do the EV-1. For an intelligent discussion on the merits of hybrids, electrics, and fuel cell vehicles, you can follow the link for Frequently Asked Questions and then the link for "Questions that Should be Frequently Asked".

If you have any interest in electric cars, you should also visit the Electric Vehicle Album web site (http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/) to see how people are converting gas vehicles to electric on their own. I did not spot an electric MINI there, but the MINI is not a particularly good choice because it is relatively heavy for its size.

And if you like racing, check out NEDRA at http://nedra.com/. You haven't seen or heard drag racing until you watch races with no internal combustion engines--the only noise is the whine of the gearbox and the squeal of the tires.
