I just purchased a new harness bar and belts for use on Autocross days and want to make sure it will make no change for my classifications. Is there a location where I can go through the general rules for autocrossing classifications?
Thanks for your help.

SCCA Solo II Car Classification rules (unofficial)

A harness bar can be used for stock if you can demonstrait that it provides no body stiffening. One way this is done is to build it with an unlocked telescoping section.

13.2 H: Driver restraints as outlined in Section 3.3.1 are allowed. Seats may not be cut to allow for the installation of alternate seat belts or harnesses. Passive restraint systems may not be removed. A horizontal "harness bar" may be used as part of the installation hardware for allowed driver restraints. It may serve no other purpose (e.g., structural enhancement). (Italics added)

Mark there is nothing STOCK on your car except the A/C. And I have my doubts about that.

Harness bars are fine in stock class, and they took out the part about telescoping a couple of years ago. Where did you get a harness bar and where does it mount?

Pardon my ignorance ...

Does the Super charger pully mod put one into the Solo II Street Touring Category?
if not which? or is it even allowed in any category?

Please advise.

S/C Pulley switch will make your car illegal for STX. At a minimum you would be Street Prepared, Street Modified or Modified, but you can run R compounds there. I'll have to check the rulebook when I get home.

The SC pully will put you in Street Modified (DOT race tires)... or D/E MOD (Race slicks) Street Prepared would require you keep the stock pully....

Basicly you are stuck in SM which is a fun class... Nationaly it cost mucho bucks to be competetive but localy it depends on where you are located... here in Atlnata the SM class is underdeveloped so a MCS could compete for a win......for now.... If winning is important to you stay away from SM but if you are out to build your car the way you want to and just have a dam dam good time... go for it!!!
