Hey Peeps, Easter Vacation is Over

Don't forget to get your F-1 head together. This week-end is Imola, and NAM must have a good showing. Get those picks in to Little Commish.

I just made my picks - that makes 8 of us so far - only about 3.5 hours to go! Remember, you have to get your picks in before race time (that's 8am eastern!), not before the CBS (tape delayed until 1pm) broadcast time.

Whew!

Little Commish has just published the results of the San Marino GP. Folks things round here are tighter than a ******'* ****** with only six points separating the top six contenders.

We're still doing good as a group, but we must get the three NAMers who've been remiss in their duties to get on line and pick for every race. Y'all knows whose chillen y'are. no need to speak more plainly.

A little over 6 hours to go and still only 6 of us have picks in.

Last week my gut said "Schumi first & Alonso second" ..... then, unfortunately, I listened to my head when it said "better swap 'em" ..... damn brain cost me 8 points! So, it's gut check time and my gut says "Ferrari strategy beats Renault strategy" ..... goin' with the gut this time.

On the other hand, if the first lap ends with Alonso first and Fisi second ..... oh well, I guess I'll know in about 5 minutes!

Ummm ..... never mind.

Seems strange to know not just the results but how it went down as well, but then have to wait until next weekend to actually watch the race (that is, for those of us who can't stand the cbs coverage).

That CBS coverage is brutal. I cannot stand the way they butcher the broadcast. At least this year, Derek Daly and Ralph Sheenan (sp?) call the race... they know a little bit about motorsports anyways. Ralph use to call WRC on Speed...

I'm sucking this year. Then again, I got a slow start last year and came on strong in the middle of the season.

Picked the wrong Honda for 6th, otherwise got very lucky. I'm trusting the #2 drivers for that red team and blue/yellow team, and finally letting go that one of my favs, McLaren, just is not getting it in gear this year. They should have spent less time on the chrome paint, and more on other things that make the car go fast . Nice to see our "works" team picking up a point. Boy do I wish I had not missed picking for the previous race.

Yup, well done Rollin! It's a shame, the only way you could have gotten any points at all for that last spot would have scored you every point available ..... but you were damn close!

Hey Rollin,

50 points is pretty darn good. I'm envious, still I can't complain, now can I?

So far, this season has been .... well, not wanting to jinx myself I'll leave it at that.

I've really enjoyed seeing the new formula (and Toro Rosso's V-10 leftover) get started, not since the demise of the turbo has there been such an upheaval in the engine department. I predict much more motor mayhem in the months to come.

Hey Peeps,

10 hrs. to go and very few picks in. Schumi demoted to back of grid. Fisi demoted to 10th. Looks very black for Ferrari.

Boy, all sorts of penalties being handed out. Yikes!

I wonder if the Ferarri boys are still happy about extending their concorde agreement now.

Glad I dialed up and saw the penalities against Schumi & Fisichella - need to adjust my picks. Man that was close.

Monaco, always the most difficult race to predict. Almost no advantage to higher hp, aerodynamics. It all comes down to superior driver control and gearing. What makes today's race complicated is the number of former winners and podium placers in the top eight or so qualifiers. Minus a debacle that takes out half the field, these guys aren't going to be relinquishing much in the way of positions. All can tune for reliability, adjust their steering racks to allow nearly 150 degrees of rotation, and just have at it.

May the best man win.

Monco results....

1. Fernando Alonso
2. Juna Pablo Montoya
3. David Coulthard
4. Rubens Barrichello
5. Schumi
6. Giancarlo Fisichella

Looks like kurvhugr might have done the best.

Going to be difficult watching the 500 plus CBS Monaco coverage at the same time.

kurvhugr got 31 points and a huge 11 position jump.

CutnThrust got a 7 position jump.

About everyone else either didn't move up or down or had a 1 position move. Everyone had double didgets points this week. Three didn't get pix in.
