I hadn't noticed the standing issue, but the 2005 results haven't yet been posted on the prior years results section. Maybe little Commish has a day job and is busy starting the other fantasy leagues like Nascar, Cart, IRL, etc.

As far as the 62 points goes it works out like this. You get 10 bonus points for a "flush" (all six drivers somewhere in the points) and it has no blackout period like the darkhorse or first time winner;so in order to score a 62, the person would have had to get four drivers in their proper positions (40 pts. ) plus the additional drivers in reversed places one spot from actual (12 pts). For example if they'd put Schumi, Alonso, Raikkonen, Button, Montoya and Webber they'd get 52 points for accuracy plus the additional 10 for a flush and 62 points in total.

Grrr. I've emailed this Commish person twice and never got a response. Guess I won't be able to join the ranks. :-(

Engine changes, differing fuel strategies, and three tiered qualifying means I have no effin idea what this session will really mean as far as race strategy is concerned. Sure Honda and Renault are very fast, as is McLaren and Williams but I'm not gonna count Ferrari out, as both Massa and Schumi have changed engines and have fresh lumps for the race (like Fisi). Arrrgh! this is getting harder and harder to predict. Gotta luv F1.

Geez. Looking at the top 10 of the grid I can see 50 different scenarios unfolding! I'm in way over my head.

Thanks for nothing Christian Klien!!! Lost Kimi due to your "bump."

Saw late that Schui was 10 spots back so changing him from 4th to 6th at the last minute was good luck.

Hope this is not going to be another Renault dominated year.

Results:
Fisichella
Alonso

Massa
Schumi

I didn't get to watch the race. The hotell didn't have Speed (nascar)network
Sure had a great time on the MINICCI drive.

I think I got 19 points.

1 Alonso
2 Kimi
3 Ralphie bBoy
4 Heidfeld
5 Fisichella
6 JV

I am estimating 12 points for me. Sir Frank must be pleased with the results so far this year, Especially after loosing BMW and being forced to go Cosworth.

Sheesh, I could have gotten nearly the same points by not even picking this week!

Zero points for Scott Speed by the way. FIA took it away as a penalty for ignoring yellow flags (I think that was it).....then he was fined for abusive language.

Say what you will about the new 2.4 ltr. formula but I really like the V-8s, especially when they grenade. KABLAMMO!!

Fisi had nerves of steel and cojones the size of grapefruits. From last on the grid to 5th is one hell of a run. Even if he was sometimes two seconds a lap slower than Alonso. At least he was fighting for position, rather than just passing backmarkers.

That was fun. Why does Speed get penalized and not Ralph. Please let it not be an Alonso/Renault run away season though.

As much as I do not like how BMW treated Williams last year, kudos to our "works" team for getting 6 pts and now in 5th.

Speed gets penalized because he is American. Bernie has somthing against Americans First the no race race last year at Indy and now smacking us in the face with this bull crap.

Seems to me that DC was a little pissed to see the junior team out do him so belly ache to Bernie and rob the american.

Can't say that I agree with your perspective. This is an FIA matter, anyway.
Ecclestone has nothing to do with it.

I do think, however, that R. Schumacher's passing under yellow should be investigated. I thought that I read that his actions, in fact, were.

I wasn't watching RS too much to tell if he was passing under yellow or not. I was under the impression that he was set up with a lot of fuel and with everyone diving into the pits on restarts, I think he happened to gain several positions.
Great race to watch though.

So are there only two leagues currently? Us and Melbourne? I guess we have a solid 2nd so far then!

Yes two leagues us and the rest of the world. The Torra ain't no Borra league disbanded a couple of years ago. I think that they were all members of the Little Commish's family...

While we may be smaller than Melbourne league, NAM holds its own in the overall standings. Last year garyp nearly won it all (only in Melbourne due to a clerical error). We'll do just fine this year.
