LOL. Thus the issue. Neither man has a spotless record . . .

As I said, I feel Schumacher has changed. I've also never once heard him blame anyone . . . especially anyone within his own team . . .

I've also never heard Schumi accept the blame for any of the stunts he's pulled in his career either!

Looking at the long faces on the podium, I thought for sure that someone had informed
Felipe and Fisi that Michael has decided to race next yr. and MS was about to announce
that either Felipe or Fisi will be a test driver or a #2 next yr.(I felt bad for Fisi during the press conference though) depending on which team MS decides to race for. Maybe just sleep deprivation on my part.

Michael appeared genuinely appreciative as he thanked every crew member in the garage after his exit. Looked like he was consoling them! I think he is now seeing beyond the F1 circus and is truly looking forward to being away from the grind.

We know why Fisi was bummed, but what was going on with Massa?

Michael has all but lost the Drivers Championship and the Manufacturers is in peril. Reason enough for bummage.

Massa knows that he should have beaten Alonso...after all, Masa had the pole. If Massa had beaten him, Michael would have had a better chance at the final event.

Didn't I hear the announcers say something about MS being part owner in the Ferrari F1 team? Did I hear that right? If so, that would be an obvious choice. He could be driver coach or even team manager. He's certainly got the experience.

Yes ... that is what I thought.
He does have some ownership of the team itself.

He is still going to be around

Tonino Visciani, whom Giancarlo described as "my best friend ever" passed away on Thursday.

Robert Kubica is a great permanent addition to the team. Viva BMW 2007 F1.

Hey, did anybody follow JPM's debut in the NASCAR ARCA Series? Finished 3rd in his first race, after having to pit numerous times to repair early race damage to his car. He was as low as 36th in a field of 40 and still managed to get a podium (NASCAR - dirt hill) finish. JPM said he passed more cars in that race than in an entire season of F1.

Great race today. I'm sad to see MS go. Making some room for the younger drivers in the paddock. Good race today. I was looking forward to seeing MS taking his 8th title, but I guess that will never happen.

Great performance by Schumacher today. He never gave up the fight . . . taking it to the final lap when others probably would've given up.

Great race! Michael just can't catch a break lately. My favorite part would have to be the pass between Kimi and Shumi towards the end. Two ***** out drivers, both wanting the position. Great driving!

I am hopeful that Kimi will have the car to be competative next year with Ferrari. Massa and Kimi will be a killer team if they get along.

Schumacher retires at the top of his game. So good to see a champion decide to pursue other things while still the best at his profession. Something to shoot for in future F1 stars. Lots of youngbloods entering with the 2006 departures of Schumi, JPM, and Jaques just to name the stars of the series who won't be back next year. Who's the old man now, DC? Will he be back in 07?

End on an era as Cosworth and Michelin leave F1 too. What will the future bring? Here's to a great season next year.

Yeah, it was a great drive by MS..............probably would have finished 2nd had he not had that cut tire. DC returns next year with the same team.

What did everybody think of Schummachers' (European) commercial at the gas station? Funny, but so weird hearing him talk in German!! We never get that here of course.

CAN'T WAIT FOR 07!!

LOL. I just watched it on youtube. I think the one with him driving through the streets and ending in a Fiat dealer is even better.

Hmm. I think he would've won. No question about it . . . and it would not have been a gift.
