Wanna make F1 more exciting??? Hose down the track for EVERY race!!!
We are only 15 laps into the race in Budapest, and there has been more action than there has been in any race all year!!! I have been watching F1 since the days of Rene Arnoux and Nelson Piquet, and it really does need something to make it more exciting. I will not argue with the fact that F1 is certainly a hugely successful form of motor racing, but it can be even better!!!!
It's a great curve ball to rain in Hungary because it's usually about 400 degrees in Budapest this time of year.

I have seen this coming for years, his car is the only reason this did not happen sooner.
There are truly 3 class of car on the F1 circuit. Jensen has been driving a 2nd class car for 3 seasons now. It’s wonderful to see a second rate car win a race, but I don’t expect it to happen again. It truly was a great day for him, but I’m not seeing it happen again while he’s in a Honda.
Did anyone other than me notice how he still after he won the race, they, the announcers still blew his effort off and paid all their attention to Pedro?
Jensen for 4 years now has been a person I’ve known would be a great driver given the right car. But like all drivers on the circuit it’s timing that gets some one a great drive in a #1 class car, not talent.

Great Race - Congrats Jenson
Well, a great race. Best sense the opener in Bahrain.
Sorta funny how things turned out between Schumi & Alonso. Great job to Jenson. Nice to Heidfeld on the podium as well. I like Nick.
Great for Kubica as well!!! Fantastic qualifying for him and a great race result.
Edit - He was stripped of the points for a being underweight

A very interesting weekend. Alonso throws his weekend away in Friday practice, only to see MSchu give it right back to him in Saturday practice. In the race, Michelin gives Renault a huge edge over Ferrari, which Renault promptly throws away with a pit-stop error. MSchu is in an easy position to gain 5 points on Alonso in a race where his Bridgestones make it very difficult to get any points at all - and then he throws it all away in a skirmish with Pedro de la Rosa trying to save one point. Fools! They are all fools!
The beginning of the race showed me once again why it's a good thing the tire war is over after this year. Wouldn't it have been great to see MSchu and Alonso on equal footing as they fought their way through the field? Wouldn't it have been amazing to see F1's two title contenders going head-to-head in the wet?
Instead, we get the teams that happened to choose Michelin at the beginning of the year running away in the early stages, and then Ferrari coming back as the track dried because they happened to choose Bridgestone at the beginning of the season. I, for one, will be very happy next year when a team's tires are no longer "Get Out of Jail Free" or "Go To Jail Do Not Pass Go" cards, and teams have to compete based on their own engineering, strategy and driver skill.

Kubica a DQF. Post race weigh-in his car was 2 Kg. under. Michael elevated to 8th, and receiving 1 point in the process. What an ironic ending. Schumi's fight for 2 additional pts with De La Rosa nets a DNF when he damages his steering gear. Now he gets a point, what if he beats Alonso by a single point at year's end? He is only 10 points behind at this stage with six races to go.
Amazing how much better the Michelin intermediate tires were than the Bridgestones.

We often claim there's not enough wheel to wheel combat anymore, and then a situation comes along like today with a championship contender defending a podium result and we call him a fool. I'm not pointing a finger . . . I felt the same way. Fisichella executes a daring move on Coulthard at Monaco, and gets slammed.
Who knows. Absolutely fantastic show today. Karmic results.

Was it a "local" yellow?
He also waved his fist at him when he was lapping him. Geez. I'm really more than a little tired of Fred these days.

Yep, my bad. I still can't conceive of the fact that there will not be a race at Spa this year.
Wow!!! what a crazy race
So many emotions during the race...
Alonso kicking everyone's ***, then spinning out after a wheel nut falls off.
I thought yippee for Michael, then he fought really hard, obviously too hard for 8 pts instead of settling for maybe 5 for 4 pts. Of course Schuey raced hard all day with a few incidents before the final collision. I'll give him credit for that since his tyres sucked. What the hell was his deal with cutting the chicane and not giving second place to Pedro?
Oh well, this was a fantastic race. Probably the best this season so far.
