So it'd be safe to say that if the MCS driver could drive, he'd keep up with the Beetle S driver or pull away from gear to gear. Unless it was a highway punch and driver skill isn't much of an issue? Either way, im pumped to see what a MCS can do with 200 wheel hp

No matter how much power you add to any car, there is always someone out there with a car that is faster. Case in point, it will be a while before there is a MINI that is faster than my New Beetle. Not only does it put out 330HP to the wheels, it has four wheel drive for maximum traction. I drove a 490RWHP New Beetle a couple of weeks ago; I thought mine was fast

Very nice beetle! How much boost are you running? Have you ran it at the track? Looks to be a monster

OK Randy how do we fix the problem. So the 1.8T and the new neon might think twice.

I didn't realize that the beetles were so fast! I'll have to give that a try myself, with our Mini. What modifications have you done to your Mini "S" ??

Im not surprised at the throttling that a beatle can give out. Hell, I had a 64' bug with an 1835cc eng, threw a dual set of 40mm carbs on it and replaced tha cam. That thing would beat my dads stingray (327ci, 40 over, around 380hp) off the line and up to about 60mph. I would smoke fools all the time. I think that was my fav car ever. I got it for $500 and It never gave me any problems. My 03 MCS has given me more problems in the first 3 Months than my bug ever did. I gotta say, the Germans make a fine automobile.

just my 2 cents
