Hello all!

Just got my 2004 Cooper S. I am also resently registered with my local SCCA. My first event will be June 13. I am taking a drivers course on June 12 th. .

Any advice on my first event?

 

Get there early, keep an open mind, don't be uptight about things.

I'd bring a hat, sunscreen, and something to eat and drink.

Have your car completely cleaned out, no CD's, pop cans, speakers, etc. Basically anything that can't be fit into your glovebox will have to be taken out of the car.

Autocross is awesome. Have fun and be preppared to become addicted.

Be prepared to have loads of fun.

 

Be sure to walk the course with the instructor and pay close attention to his suggestions at each feature. Then walk it again... and again... and again! If you have the course fixed in your mind it is a big help.
