I agree with 0_MINI...I totally respect what MS has accomplished in his career, but the season so far has helped me to get my lawn mowing done sooner every other Sunday... Click!

>>Poor JPM, this season is royally sucking for him. But he should just shut up and drive.

Yea, JPM must be thinking of what a great decision he made to drive for McLaren in '05. It's enough to make anyone lose his concentration.

Pole for Jarno Trulli!!!!!

Then Ralf, Jenson and Fernando. MS on third row!

Also happy to see Giancarlo in 11th.

I would freak if Trulli won!

Should be a trulli exciting race!

Ralf's time was second fastest but because of an engine change yesterday, he get's dropped down to 12th on the grid...10 places...rules are rules.

Speaking of Schumi, I missed qualifying this morning, I was outside washing my MCSJCW. Who took the pole? Or need I ask?

fortunately or unfortunately MS qualified fifth but because Ralphy boy's lump was changed this weekend, junior Schuey actually starts 12th putting big brother 4th and on the second row.

I would absolutely freak if either of the first 3, or Kimi (my 6 year old daughter was trying to convince me his name was Kiwi ) for that matter, were to be on the top step of the podium.

Hmmm, A notoriously difficult to pass circuit. Long overdue Jarno Trulli on pole, Wonderboy Jenson Button next on the grid with the BAR ( Love their advert decals visible in the in-car-cams: is that Bar F1 or BARF 1??!!) followed by the Future World Champion Fernando Alonso, and then the Weltmeister. This is too good to be true. Looks like any one of them could win it tomorrow. My money's on Schumi, but my heart's with the Renault boys.

I'm nothing but cautiously optimistic...remember we're talking Monaco here and the bottleneck at the start is notorious for wiping out the frontrunners. This is Schumacher's game and there is no one better at playing the pit stop strategy than MS himself.

We'll know in two hours...enjoy!

The smoke then the running up on the tire, the flip to the wall, only laps in to it. WOW so glad Fisicala walked away.

After the first round of stops...we got us a motor race!

It's much more fun watching MS try to catch the front, than run away at the front... eh?

More coffee please...

HAHA, Alonso giving Ralf the bird! That was hilarious. I feel sorry for Alonso. What the heck happened with his steering?

WOW! I don't want to give anything away, but that was a great race. I might even try to catch the rerun. All in all, though: whoda thunk?

what a shocker of a race!

From Panis screwing up the first start to Sato's engine and the Fisichella/Coultard disaster to Alonso being a retard trying to Webber's explosion to Kimi's charge and then park it to pass on the marbles to Michael being retarded randomly locking his brakes and forcing Montoya to run into him to the awesome final lap battle between Button and Trulli....whew, a totally action-packed race! Congrats to the usual backmarkers picking up a few points (Panis, Heidfeld, DaMatta, and Massa). Yikes that Montoya and Rubens were SO far behind the front two!

One of the best races I've seen in a LONG time and reminded me of the Senna-Mansell battle of '92. A well-earned win for Jarno. I loved listening to him downplay the pressure Jenson was putting on him for the past 10 laps as it was great spin!

Jenson was clearly on a charge and he just had to be worried. Wasn't going to give BAR the satisfaction though.

McLaren really seems lost at sea.

This is my first time on this forum, but I ve been a F1 fan for 30 years. This morning was a SPECTACULAR race. Congrats to Renault and Honda (kinda makes me proud of the Renault Dauphine my dad owned back in the 60's).
Question: What do you think would happen if the rules were changed to allow only 3 mechanics to work on the cars during pit stops?
Leaders would drop to the back of the pack after each stop?
More passing?
Better fuel mileage/more efficient engines/less stops
Longer races/more advertising

Completely idiotic idea but worth trying?

Certainly no lack of action today, eh boys?

Hind sight being 20/20 Barichello's comments about having "black flagged" Sato when it became obvious that there was a serious leak of some sort from his Honda lump could have avoided much of the ensuing chaos. Thank God no one was injured. The track marshals in Monaco either have ***** the size of fighting bulls, or the brains of those bulls. And how about those tunnel wrecks? Fernando Alonso certainly wasn't thinking when he tried to pass Ralf 'round the outside, on marbles and dust at +170 mph; and der Weltmiester was, uh I'm at a loss for words, I mean he was behind the effen safety car at the time. Maybe after locking his front left, and correcting for the skid, he released some pressure on the brakes, got the traction he wanted (not) and promptly turned into JPM. Oh well if you want to blow a perfect season, that's sure a novel way of doing it.

None of this detracts from Jarno Trulli's suberb run today. The gods were drinking Italian wine this week-end!

This would work if the track supported passing. Most tracks are nothing but a parade. Monaco is the worst offender. I wouldn't cry in the least to see Monaco removed from the calendar. Today's race was exciting but I still think I only saw 1 on track pass for position outside of the start. Need more tracks that encourage passing like Malasia, Bahrain. Even the US GP has a nice passing area at the end of the long straight going into turn 1. Other tracks are passed their time. They need to do something about the passing, the rest isn't important.
