Tire rack has the new V710 competition tire listed. Unfortunately there are no 16" or 17" sizes available that will fit a MINI. Hopefully that will change later this year.
Brian Priebe has posted a comparison of the new tire against the V700 and Hoosiers on
SCCA Forums.
This looks like it will be a fast tire. How well it wears on a MINI remains to be seen.
