Best daily driven D stock setup
Best daily driven D stock setup
Ok I got a 2005 Mini Cooper S with the 6 speed automatic, sport suspension etc.
I did my 1st solo event last Sunday and did pretty well for it being bone stock. 3rd in the novice class out of 15 drivers.
It has a 195-55-16 tire, would it benefit from a 205-50? And if so which one? Again to drive everyday and solo it, maybe a HPDE here and there. What brake pads?
I dont need any more power, I need more grip.
Oh and does this car have a LSD?
What mods can I do and stay in d stock?
Thanks
David

Here are the SCCA rules for 2010
http://www.scca.com/contentpage.aspx?content=61#
You want sections 13-19.
There isn't much allowed in stock class, but for an MCS the more popular mods are cat back exhaust, wheels, tires, shocks. Check out the details because there are limits on wheels, tires and shocks.
