Auto-X tire pressure recommendations

I will use my Falken Azeni 615s 205/40/16s at an autox. My suspension is all stock except for hsport adj camber plates. What tire pressures should I start with?

First Question is have you Autocrossed before? if not i would say leave the stock pressures in for a run or 2, then mark the side of your tires with White shoe polish and look at it after each run to see if you are scroffing the side walls. Normally i would say add 4 to 6 PSI over what is recomended from the factory, i would also say the front should be at least 2 to 4 PSi over the rear as a starting point.

this is my second season in autox, i am by no means a pro at it. In the past I just used my street tires, 17" yoko evs100. I do the chalk/shoe polish treatment to decide throughout the day on the pressures. But changing down to 16" falkens got me thinking on the baseline starting point.

If you plan on doing Autocross for a long time, I suggest you start to keep a log. or set up an excel spreadsheet with the information. You want to have some basic stuff such as pressures run on each run, times on each run, Tire temps if you have a guage, weather conditions with temperature and humidity. Log each event and over time you will start to see patterns and develop a very good baseline for your car and for yourself.
I have been autocrossing for over 25 years and I track all of these things and a few more. My morning runs are normally learning the course and my brake points and turn in points, my afternoon runs are all out.
If you have questions or need help with anything please let me know
