I have been quoted 16-20 hrs of labor to install a quaife in SF BAY AREA.
Needless to say I want a second quote.

This is 2500 in labor alone for the install.

Any comments, suggestions will be appreciated.

Call Al at AE Performance in Campbell. Al runs a great shop and he is a MINI enthusiast.

I can't recommend a shop in the bay area, (I'm on the east coast) but find a shop that specializes in transmission work and they should be able to handle the install.

I paid 1200 in labor and know others who paid as low as 900 for their quaife install. 2400 is way too high -- even for California.
