The Nuzzo Motorsports MINI Cooper S's will be at New York’s Thunder Road next week. The infamous Watkins Glen 3.4-mile road course will play host to the Grand Am series of races. The pre race entries already total 21 cars for the Sports Touring 1 (STI) class once again making this the largest most competitive race class.

The cars have been race prepared and we are good to go. As with any new car development effort, we have encountered some unexpected problems this season. However, each race we are growing and getting more competitive. We lead the race at Birmingham; we had the second fastest practice lap at Homestead and fastest practice lap at Daytona test days. We are looking forward to showing what we can do at the Glen.

Pre Race Events
Nuzzo Motorsports, in cooperation Watkins Glen International, is pleased to announce that the #20 MINI Cooper S will be on display at the PrixView Party held in downtown Elmira around Wisner Park, this year's event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18th from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. The PrixView Party is geared toward acquainting and educating area residents and race fans about sports car racing and is a combined effort of Elmira Downtown Development, Chemung County Chamber of Commerce and Watkins Glen International. The Wisner Market will be moved to Wednesday for one special week to allow PrixView Party visitors to sample the food and other specialties featured on Summer Thursdays.
The PrixView Party will feature the new Daytona Prototypes, including the Brumos Racing Porsches, BMW Picchio, Marcus Motorsports with their BMW M3, Automatic Racing's BMW M3's, Speedsource's Porsche GT 3 Cup and Porsche Boxster and Nuzzo Motorsports MINI Coopers. Team transporters will again be open, giving fans an up-close and personal view of these large-scale mobile garages. Autographs session will be at noon inside the Wisner Market area. Tickets to the Sahlen's Sports Car Grand Prix, as well as the entire 2003 racing season at Watkins Glen International, are now available by calling The Glen's ticket office at 607-535-2481 or online. The MINI race car and driver will be available for up close and personal photo opportunities, so plan to come by.

Great news Tony!

I'm sure you've diagnosed and fixed the electrical problem from Birmingham.

I'll have to check to see when the race will be televised.

Hope you get lots of support at the track. At Fontana, the Competition Associates MCS was surely one of the more popular cars. The Prix View party should prime the fans.

BTW, nice roof graphic!

I just had the pleasure of talking to Tony on the phone regarding Racing Sponsorship and he had some great things to say about his AMSOIL experiences!! I am going to AMSOIL's headquarters in Superrior, WI in July for the 30th year convention and will do everything possible to get executive sponsorship of his team and the GrandAmerican Series.

So far AMSOIL covers SnowCross, Motocross "Supercross", and Formula 1 boat racing and has had some great teams in the past such as Mark Martin and the Unser family which are close friends to Al Amatuzio today.
But having the MINI in their focus sounds like a good possibility as the MINI is where the cameras are pointing.

A jump like this would allow more sponsorship right here at MCO!!
