iOS 8 sucks

Hi everybody

So I have a MINI Cooper S Countryman with MINI Connected and Nav. Ever since I updated my iPhone 4s to the iOS 8 I have had problems with my phone connection to my MINI. When I connect the Y-cable to my phone I have to manually press the songs I want to hear in my music library for it to play through my MINI. My controls on my screen won't work and my controls on my steering wheel don't work either. Pandora works fine through the car. I even have the new updated version of the iOS and still have problems. I truly believe it is Apple's update. Has anyone had any issues like this? What can I do about it?

Are you running IoS 8.1?

I don't have connected.. but I DO notice that I have to manually "jump start" iTunes to start playing music... then everything works fine after that.

(Iphone 5S.. 8.1.. Mini Boost System)..

something must be wrong as I recently updated to iOS 8.1 on my 5s and now everything works again. I wonder if it is the Mini Software.

There is a Y Cable with the Lightning connector. I also have 8.1 and used a 30-pin Y Cable with an Apple adapter and had no issues using the head unit and MFSW controls.

When using the lightning adapter and y cable, does album art still show up in in your music?
