BOSCH ICs SUCK?

Hahaha just installed new ICs on my JCW. Replaced the Delphi with metal sleeves for these cheap all plastic made in Slovenia (wasn’t Trump’s HO from there? ) Bosch ICs that ECS sold me. Any better ICs out there for JCW? [wonder if I got ripped]

IC... Ignition Coils?

I installed the Bavarian Autosport coils from ECS on my N18 last spring, and found them to work really well. Prior to that, I used NAPA coils, and they worked OK, but I would occasionally get random misfires. Since I replaced them with the BA coils, my misfires have disappeared, and the engine seems to run much smoother. The forums general consensus seems to be that OEM coils direct from BMW/Mini are the best, but my car really likes the BA coils.

Make sure you get some quality spark plugs, also.

I was wondering about these but couldn't find reviews on them and some Facebook groups groups said they weren't worth it and stick to stock so I did. I still want to try these on my r58 lol!

Considering they cost the same as stock coils, I figured I'd give them a chance. Been running great for the past year or so. I change the plugs every spring as part of my yearly maintenance. Don't think I'll have to change the coils this year.

I bought a set of the Bosch coils. After 50k miles they are still running fine. Prior to that I had a set of the Delphi coils as replacements for stock coils - they died, one by one, over the course of nine months or so.

If you spend enough time googling the failures of coil-on-plug type coils, it seems as if pretty much all manufacturers have problems over time.
