2011 jcw ht---i want the most pop and gurgle

The biggest reason I was thinking of trading my 2011 JCW hardtop for a GP2 is because I like the way the GP2's exhaust sounds! I may need meds!!! Can someone PLEASE, PLEASE tell me what I can do to get my exhaust to sound like the GP2's? I have some pop 'n gurgle, but I want more. I took it to Mini and had them update the computer and that did zilch.

Of course, I do have other reasons for wanting the GP2, like the seats and cool color-but it really isn't THAT much faster than mine. And seriously people, how fast can ya go anyway? There are speed limits ya know.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My husband will be thanking you.

😁

Always use the sport button and drive the car hard. With my car it always seems more pops after hard driving. I'm probably wrong but I think it has to do with the cat being hotter. After I come off the track, the car will after the slightest tap of the throttle, often go bang bang bang. Three loud "backfires" every throttle pip.
But it doesn't just have to be the track. Spirited driving will cause the pops as well.

Also remove the resonator. It muffles the sound. The exhaust is not unpleasant without it.

It'll cost not much to remove.

The hotter the exhaust the easier it will ignite the unburned fuel passing through it causing the "pops". So drive it hard.
