JCW Brake Calipers Paint Chipping

Hello fellow JCW owners,

I have a 2010 JCW hardtop and have recently noticed that i have several paint chips on both of the front JCW calipers. I have checked my wheels and the other surrounding parts to see if they are rubbing or hitting something, but I cannot see any markings left from where the chips are.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I take it to the dealer and mention it? or is it just one of the side effects of use with painted calipers?

Thanks in advance for any feedback

I would think rock chips too but because of where the chips are located makes me think otherwise.

The chips are on the top and bottom of the caliper on each side which looks like something hit it. I guess it is what it is. I just thought for how much they charge for these brakes they'd be able to stand up to use for longer...

Maybe when the wheels came off for rotation or brake check, the technician hit the wheel on the calipers.
