Might have gone silver or Grey if it was an option.

Nice

You probably have the very first one without a red roof.

Congratulations on your new JCW

Only other addition to start will be Flat Black racing stripes with a thin grey or red pin striped out line. What do you think? Grey matches the Black Jack and Red the brakes.

^That would look cool with a flat black stripe with a grey outline.

I noticed I still can't get used to the whole red roof thing. Especially with colors, like white, that really don't go with red. The green ones look awful, and the black ones are really the only ones I can kind of see looking OK. Maybe it will look better if you get some tints on the windows or something, I don't know. To me, it almost seems like the red roofs are already becoming a little bit of a cliche- too many people are doing it.

But oh well, the car is a JCW, so it's still awesome in my mind, no matter what the color. And "to each his own," right?

Like white and black roofs *aren't* cliche since they're predictable? Funny stuff. Cliche means predictable or overused. I dare say the red roof isn't predictable on the Mini as a whole, nor is it overused on the Mini as a whole. On the 2011 JCW *maybe* it's predictable for that one year (and why wouldn't it be, since it's exclusive?), but I would not consider such a small, small portion of the overall Mini market as being "overused," and thereby cliche.

That would be like saying, "I hate the GP with a silver roof, because they're so cliche. Everybody did it." Really? It was the color scheme that set it apart from the other cars visually, just as it's the red roof that sets a 2011 apart as a JCW. You can order a PW/B or PW/PW in a *Cooper*, but you can't get PW/R (or any other xxx/R combo, for that matter) on anything but the JCW. That makes it relatively exclusive and interesting. You can tell it's a JCW as it comes down the road, just as you can spot a GP from miles away. And I seriously doubt you'll see more than one in your daily drive, *especially* PW/R or WS/R.

But as you said, to each his own.

Sorry for the hijack. I can't wait to see your new ride, Maser!

Congrats!

Congrats on the order of your black/black JCW!! The all black is awesome! We just received our 2011 black/black JCW in October and we couldn't be happier!

Phinzup I agree with your take on the red. One reason I was thinking the red pin stripping match the brakes. Keep the red JCW 11' theme. Grey or Silver would look great too. I saw a Mustang at Exotics@Redmondtowncenter that was Black with Flat Black Stripes and I loved it.

So Madster I need some pics. I will search your posts. What options. Curious as to what you think of the exhaust. Loud enough? Popping? Etc. My 10' MCS
was to quite. I was not even going to get the BluTooth this time around till I saw the Mini Connect. Really like the look and the capabilities for the future with it. I like how the album art show up or your can even download your own pictures. Something new from my 2010 I guess. What to hear about your ride Madster.

This a quick pic I took of our new addition. We have the carbon black lounge leather, sport suspension, xenons, premium, cold weather and convenience packages. I think it has a nice exhaust note, not very loud but just loud enough. It's just starting to burble & pop now and then. We're planning on tinting the windows in the spring to really complete the all black look.

Looks good! I went Black wheels too and will tint it dark. Went to the Mini OL
and I have a VIN already. Scheduled to be completed Nov. 30th. I checked shipping and it should be on the Dec. sailing for CA and arrive on the 29th.
From there who knows how long to get it north.

Nice spec. That'll be a real sharp JCW. I also ordered mine just a couple days ago. Well optioned but I went Eclipse Gray/Chili Red. I'm pretty partial to the dark silver type colors, but black on black is always sexy as hell!!!

Gig harbor? I was just there last week checking out the area. There is a small chance of me moving over there in the not real distant future.
I wasn't impressed with the weather and I hear it's snowing today!

Did you order it from NW or Seattle?

It is snowing but not sticking. Its not HI for sure. When the sun is out it is hard to beat anytime of the year. Just some years you see it less than others,LOL. The Maserati does get out enough in the winter but that is what the JCW is for. Also when it is raining here int he winter it is dumping in the mountains. Have a snowmobile so it is shaping up to be a great winter early.
Nice deep base already to cover up the rocks and stumps.

Ordered it from Seattle. Last one came from NW. Spreading the love, lol.

My brother just texted me from Port Orchard to tell me it was snowing. If you see a Galaxy Grey Miata with a hardtop ripping around the area, give him a thumbs up. That's my little bro. I'm way over here on the East Coast, far away from the rest of the family.

My wife is wanting to move up there and keeps telling me how beautiful it is when the sun is out. I was there for 5 days and didn't see the sun the whole time I was there! She is still there for a bit longer and said it came out the day after I left (and called me today saying it was snowing). I do like the idea of being able to have some acreage without paying a million plus for it though.

How much does a month of ez pass for that toll bridge cost? Paying $4 to cross it each day would get expensive. Or do you still end up paying per crossing? That may be the first time I've used a toll road.

You guys with the JCW Hardtops getting production dates are making me envious. I guess I've been dreaming hoping to get an earlier date than my MA told me week 50-51 for my JCW Clubman.

Anyone else out there have a JCW Clubbie on order?

Black is so hard to keep clean. I vowed to never own another since I ordered my last car. 1995 Pontiac Firehawk- Black. Nothing looks better clean for a whole 5 minutes. I think the Mini will be worse. I never seena small car that was so hard to wash. So many places for water to hide and seems to run out for days.

Sorry Foo. And I am not that big on car detailing. I leave that to the professionals. If you look at the rest of my fleet is is all silver. Dark Silver was
great. I had a 2003 z06 Foo. I take you have or hadone. Electron Blue was almost as bad as black. It showed everything. Best was Corvette Torch Red.
Daily driver on a 98 Vette that spent a lot of its life at the airport. After 5 years it was perfect. I know my car cleaning joys and the Miini is not one of them. My Maserati is much easier to wash and it is almost twice as big. My debate now is if I want to 3M the whole hood. Probably a good idea since I want to track the car and drive agressive all the time. Black will show chips pretty bad I would expect.
