JCW WC50 suspension?

Hi everyone,

I'm about the seal the deal on a JCW WC50 and I'm wondering if anyone knows which suspension it comes with? It seems like it comes with the base suspension (not sport), which is disappointing...

I know that the JCW Suspension is a dealer add-on, but I thought that the WC50 would at least come with the sport suspension as standard. It makes me scratch my head about the 40K sticker price...

Sorry if this there's already a thread about this, but I couldn't find one specifically about the WC50.

Thanks,

-Herk

All JCW's from the factory come with the standard suspension unless you order differently. The WC50 is no different.

That 40K price is getting you a loaded JCW with a special color and all the JCW CF parts. Its a good deal. Go to your local dealers accessory web site to see how much those CF parts are. I have all the JCW add-ons and CF parts except for the spoiler. Definitely not cheap.

I was going to buy one but I have too much stuff on my JCW to remove. The WC50 does not have a sunroof either which is a deal breaker for me.

I will keep my car. I think its cooler than the WC50 anyway.

Thanks for the quick reply, Onefish2. I just can't believe the sport suspension is not standard on the WC50 (or all JCWs for that matter).

btw, sweet ride!

From what I have read here, the sport suspension is actually not that great, it tries to do both handling and comfort at the same time, so it ended up not doing great on both.

The JCW suspension is great, but just too pricey, so I decided to get my WC50 with the stock suspension and save up for some coilovers in future.

Saw that you mentioned that the dealer is willing to throw in the JCW strut for free. If you can get is MSRP + the free strut, I will say definitely go for it. It took me awhile before the dealer is willing to sell it with no markup, and they didn't throw in anything free for me :(

The sport suspension is basically slightly thicker sway bars. Not even 19mm ones either. I know, some persons claim you get better dampers and springs, but really, for $500, what do you expect from Mini? Not much and that's probably what you get.
