JCW brake retrofit kit on aero kit... wierd howling...

Friday before I left to the track, I installed the brake duct retrofit kit. I don't know if anyone has experienced this but between 80-90 (and up) I get a "howling" sound.

The sound kind of sounds like someone blowing air across the top of a bottle.

For anyone that has the kit, you know the air ducts are "snapped" together in a left and right half.

It's almost like they're not sealed.

Tomorrow I'm going to pull the front bumper, disassemble it and plastic weld the duct work to make it one piece.

Anyone ever have this problem?

Thanks,

Mark

I was at Putnam Park a couple weekends ago with my brake duct kit retrofit and had no whistling. Did you install it or did you have the dealer's shop do it?

I pulled the bumper off this morning. Apparently, a few spots on the "halves" had come undone.

The design is **** poor. It's two halves that are snapped together. I don't understand why the tubing couldn't be one piece.

I did put an epoxy on the edges where the seams are so hopefully we won't have any problems.
