In the process of painting my JCW Aero kit and have a question regarding the rear bumper. I was laying out the parts last night and there are (2) inserts in the rear that are like louvers. If you look at the Mini site they do not show the red lensed inserted in them.....but there are cut outs for them. I have seen quite a few without the lights...what am I missing here?

 

Those are for the rear fog lights. They are a $100 option or there are sites selling just the lens if you don't have the lights but like the look.

 

Yup for foglamps! I think with the grey color your car is you will like it when you update to the lamps. Or you can just buy the lamps and not even hook them up. The contrast will look nice.

I saw you painting it picture in another thread! What a great way to save some coin and have the feeling of having done it oneself!

 

Thanks....I really enjoy doing as much myself as I can. I think I agree the lamps will look great.

Went to the Mini owners lounge today to get an update on my build. Almost a week since it said scheduled for production....how lok from that point till it ships??? Anyone know??
