Haha yep. I need to get a garage like yours...
Well, since I'm worth like $500 an hour, then I'd say labor cost me like $1500. LOL. Yeah, I did it myself. Took me forever though. I think I got stuck at trying to get one of the screws that were super hard to reach on either side. Here's a video (and there's a whole thread dedicated to how to do it yourself):

Your so kind!
My first love was my '05 MCSC, but this one is such a huge improvement on every front. For my purposes, so much more practical than a roadster...and with a fully automatic top (that now opens and closes at speed!), it's really a Swiss Army knife! I've had three passengers + me for a 30 min drive who were all pleasantly surprised. Bigger things than you'd think fit through the expanding rear trunk, and with the seats down, I can really pack it when needed. No matter what, it loves the road ~ any type of road (even freeways, which the '05 wasn't brilliant on). And a twisty road just begs for the top down and the sport button on!

No, I did not install it myself, although I believe this is a fairly straightforward DIY project. I had my local, neighborhood MINI shop put it on for me (2 hours labor). I think having the car up on a lift would make the install much easier, which was the main reason I didn't do it myself.

Hi koopy - my detailer (lee from concours finishes in sydney) apparently used gtechniq products on my car to get it looking like this. The liquid glass finish is fantastic - I've hand washed it four times now since it was done and it still looks like this!
