Thanks Dez! Yeah let me know when. I think Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills will have MINIs as the feature car last Sunday of this month. I'll be there.

Very nice! One thing I regret not getting was the chrome interior trim. It looks so good.

Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure about the chrome interior trim when I was reading the description of the car but after I saw it I liked it. I was looking at another JCW which was local. It was PW also with MINI Connect/Nav, moonroof and Recaro seats. I decided to drive 4.5 hrs to get mine since I cared more about the other little things like anti-theft alarm, auto dim heated powerfold mirrors, comfort access, PDC, auto headlights and wipers plus the CR top and mirror caps.

Absolute now has me wanting to plasti-dip the amber indicators, but this is what I've done so far with that miracle spray...

The tail light rings and the gas cap I did as well, but that picture didn't turn out well due to the light.

NM Alpha springs on the way.

Just had the NM Alpha springs installed. The car should have come with this ride height from the factory, imo.

Initial impressions are that the turn in is much quicker, the car is more composed overall, and the ride quality difference between this and stock is marginal. It's a little more noisy, which I'm hoping I'll get used to, if it doesn't settle in some over some time.

Since you bought the springs, think about getting Koni yellows. Motoringwerks.com has them for $665 spring sale for them right now.

I have a MCS 05 and i'm thinking about changing it for a newer model. I saw a 09 JCW and it got me thinking if the 09 model don't have carbon fiber trimings and the seats are cloth. a friend of mine told me that the JCW says JCW on the engine cover which i dind't see on the one i was looking. i googled JCW 09 but i'm not sure if the pictures i'm seeing are actual JCW usually they post general mini pics on edmunds and that sort of website. Can someone post pictures of the interior of a 09 JCW

Another way to tell can be the location of the JCW badge. If it's a dealer upgraded JCW package, the badge will be on the upper grill, if it's a legit JCW, it will be on the lower grill on the drivers side. This isn't a 100% accurate, a dedicated JCW wanna be could move the grill badge, but it's another way. The interior isn't really a way to tell, anything can be added in the configurator.

The 09 JCWs (like mine) do NOT have a JCW badge on the engine....at least not on the factory 208hp JCWs. I'm not completely sure, but the dealer-installed Stage 1 JCW might have a badge on the intake or something......

Another way to tell is the exhaust.......it is full OPEN in the back on the factory JCW with no etched logo...not inner muzzles. I believe the Stage 1 kit exhaust has the logo on the tips..........and the inside of the tips there is more material...

The 09 JCW interior is just like the S model except for the checkered flag badge on the far right side of the glove box door. The 2009 JCW had white-faced gauges, but then in 2010 JCW models got the anthracite(gray)-faced gauges just like the latest JCW models. Here is a pic of my car's interior:

2009 jcw cr

Found this baby for sale used. Apparently the used dealers don't have a database entry for JCW pricing, and it was priced as a used Cooper S.

I had a 2004 S, and it was night and day different. This red devil had me at hello.
