Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure about the chrome interior trim when I was reading the description of the car but after I saw it I liked it. I was looking at another JCW which was local. It was PW also with MINI Connect/Nav, moonroof and Recaro seats. I decided to drive 4.5 hrs to get mine since I cared more about the other little things like anti-theft alarm, auto dim heated powerfold mirrors, comfort access, PDC, auto headlights and wipers plus the CR top and mirror caps.

Just had the NM Alpha springs installed. The car should have come with this ride height from the factory, imo.
Initial impressions are that the turn in is much quicker, the car is more composed overall, and the ride quality difference between this and stock is marginal. It's a little more noisy, which I'm hoping I'll get used to, if it doesn't settle in some over some time.

I have a MCS 05 and i'm thinking about changing it for a newer model. I saw a 09 JCW and it got me thinking if the 09 model don't have carbon fiber trimings and the seats are cloth. a friend of mine told me that the JCW says JCW on the engine cover which i dind't see on the one i was looking. i googled JCW 09 but i'm not sure if the pictures i'm seeing are actual JCW usually they post general mini pics on edmunds and that sort of website. Can someone post pictures of the interior of a 09 JCW

The 09 JCWs (like mine) do NOT have a JCW badge on the engine....at least not on the factory 208hp JCWs. I'm not completely sure, but the dealer-installed Stage 1 JCW might have a badge on the intake or something......
Another way to tell is the exhaust.......it is full OPEN in the back on the factory JCW with no etched logo...not inner muzzles. I believe the Stage 1 kit exhaust has the logo on the tips..........and the inside of the tips there is more material...
The 09 JCW interior is just like the S model except for the checkered flag badge on the far right side of the glove box door. The 2009 JCW had white-faced gauges, but then in 2010 JCW models got the anthracite(gray)-faced gauges just like the latest JCW models. Here is a pic of my car's interior:
