Perhaps I should have said 'a few aesthetically pleasing mods':
Alta 4" Stubby
Cravenspeed Platypus front license plate frame
JCW black grille trim

This car has the premium and convenience packages, xenons, white turns and rear fogs.

Antenna

Seems like many of you replaced the stock antenna for a shorter one. Which one did you go with?

Thanks

Pictures of my new IY JCW Convertible

I picked it up on 5/14 but it took me some time to finally get pictures taken & figure out how to post here. These pics are from yesterday after having a clear bra application applied on front bumper, headlights and full hood for paint protection.

I can't seem to figure out how to insert the images as onefish2 has his inset. They do appear to be able to expand even larger though if selected from within the gallery.

Really looks nice. While I'm not a real ragtop guy, even though right now I have a 2007 Miata, yours really comes across nice. But, try and get some sunlight pictures, a little dark, and can't pick up the detail in the grille, ect. Now, get out and MOTOR!!!!

I got them for $2,700 ,they had them listed for $ 3,400 in the show room.
I had ordered some other JCW wheels, and when they came that day and the dealer tried to install them on my car we saw that the rims were for snow tires. So my stock 17" tires would not fit on the new 17" rims that had just come in. So I asked what other JCW Rims they had in stock ready to go. The only other set was the 18's you now see on the car. I told them since this was Bob Smths mistake I would need a big discount off the $3,400 price. After some back and fourth we came to $ 2,700. I do not know if you can get the same deal or not. I worked with Nacho in the Parts department.
Good luck,
Ron

Ride Height

I know that there has been much made about the ride height of the R56 Mini, in both S and JCW, but untill now, I really never noticed it. Boy do they ride high.

For those that have addressed this problem, what has been your best results, using what? I've heard of the JCW suspension package lowering about 1", maybe. They there are the Coil/overs that usually get about 2" or so. What has worked best for you, and has made improvements in suspension performance, without loosing any semblance of ride?

I've had advice on the NM springs, probably others, what's your thoughts?

I picked up my 2010 JCW on Thursday. It needs to go back next week to have them swap out the front grill surrounds for the aero-kit black ones that they forgot at the VDC.

If anyone is wondering the black wheels in the first two pictures are what got accidently shipped with my car. Dealer mistake. They fixed it and got the JCW wheels on there about a week after I picked up the car.

My JCW spent yesterday at the dealership having the black grill surrounds put on (they forgot at the port). Here's how it looks now.

Man, the more I see the factory JCW aero kit the more I'm upset that I didn't just suck it up and get it.

Looks real good with the black trim!

Not too late. Can always add it after delivery... and it might be cheaper too. It was for me!

Hurts to see a 3k dollar kit with the front bumper license plate box drilled through!!!

You should have said "NO HOLES" please....i reminded the salesman 100 times upon delivery!

So you just don't have a front license plate? Or do you mount it some other way?
