F60 Aftermarket Parts

I know the F60 has only been out for 6 or so months, but I'm surprised there's not much to offer from the aftermarket companies yet. All I really have found are tuners, 1 rear sway bar brand, an air intake, and accessories like floor mats/clothing/light bulbs/etc.

I know it's not for everyone, but I'm actually interested in lowering mine. My old R53 was pretty low back in the day and I loved the improvements it had in handling corners. As well as the looks. Nothing bothers me more than the gap between the wheel arch and tire.

I'm fine with even a set of lowering springs for now until coilovers are readily available. I talked with Mike from ECS and they're waiting as well. So basically this post is for the vendors to let myself and others interested know when they're available. Thanks!

We're picking one up today and I'm already looking for mods. Exhaust, TUNE (needs BADLY), lowering springs (ours has adaptive dampening so need to do research on this). Etc. I don't even think Weathertech has mats yet??

I looked last night and only saw rear floor liners. Perhaps they don't have em for the MT cars yet?

haha, it had to be something simple like that.

Not that I want my wife driving my JCW, but just in case, it has to be at auto trans these days.

Yeah I know Zack, we've went back and forth. He's running 20x10 Rotiform wheels, Megan S3 Coilovers up front with custom machined camber plates and just 6" 9K spring with BMW F30 dampeners on the rear. A little too much for me. He was cutting out fender liners to get everything to fit.

It does look good, but 19" is as big as I want to go with wheels.

I'm going to swap out the shifter ****, as I did on my F56. Two items where MINI lost its sense of style: ugly shift **** and that cheap and ugly key FOB. Why they persist with such a crappy key fob is beyond me. It's not only not premium, it's probably got the junkiest buttons in the industry.

Talked with KW at Sema last week, they said coilovers are in the works. Also emailed H&R and they replied back saying they should have something out by the end of the year.

Hopefully after Sema, more and more people will start offering an aftermarket replacement. WCC had a lifted F60 which they had to mod to work. I watched them work on it and and they said everything was custom because nothing was out yet, I said I know. I was talking with them what they could do to get around that. They also did not know we have wheel spacers for the F56 that will fit F60.

coilovers

just picked up my 18 countryman s ALL4. I'm used to a healthy aftermarket for the cars I buy. This is sad but i'll deal.

correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the F60 share the same platform as the X1 (F48) and the clubman s all4 (F54). if so, wouldn't it stand to reason that these should fit the countryman s all4?

Should but the right height, but on the F54 is somewhat lower than the F60. So my guess is that it should work, but you will be lowered much more with raised up, if you lower them. I guess it could be only like a 20mm drop from stock when all the way wound up.

F54 aftermarket thread. There are DDC and non DDC versions.

My concern is more when they are spun down not all the way up. The wheel gap on these things is horrific. Fine if you are taking them offroad or it's intended use. However, I'm into show car stance. Not slammed per se but I'm looking for at least 1 fingers width of wheel gap at the minimum.

I'm going to call K&W today unless ECS would like to take the lead on that with their contacts? Can you please let me know what they say? I'm ready to pull the trigger today if they say it will fit. The dealers aren't being any help with cross fitment between the x1, f54, and F60.

Hello, I know they are working on a F60 set up. The F54 just came out from them. I will have to contact them, hopefully, they will get back.

My best guess knowing these and other system is the F54 set up on the F60 will make it drop more then if they had an F60 kit.

Show car stance will most likely be easy right out of the box and adjusted a little bit, also i will bet slammed would be easy to as its lower.

Any results?

The only reason I haven't purchased these yet is because our weather here is terrible, so there's no rush.
